I find it amazing how someone with little to no money can put a little thought into something and create something so grand. This person talked about in the article explains how they went about adding expression to a small patio with a very small budget. This is total art and goes to show everyone that you really can add life to any living situation you might be in.
We used to live in a two bedroom apartment, actually it was a duplex and my wife used to spend so much time outside fixing up the flower beds and maintaining such a comfortable atmosphere in a place that I would have otherwise expressed as, "it's just a rental". I couldn't understand why she would put so much time into it. But I know why now. It made her feel good. She was actually getting some therapy out of it. It sure felt good when the owners of the duplex expressed delight in all she had done. In fact they considered her live in management because of her willingness to give to a place that she would never own.
I will also admit that when I came home from work it sure was a nice feeling before I even got in the door. One I would not have had if she did nothing and I would have given no attention to the walkway and garbage cans. Instead I was always greeted with flowers and decor.
